Our positions are for charge entry and medical billing via our electronic medical billing software. You must understand medical insurance; the difference between the CPT and ICD-10 codes and insurance billing. Full-Time Mon-Fri 8am-5pm

*Billing Specialists Responsibilities:*

* Enter medical billing data accurately for Just Kids Pediatrics and Your Health & Wellness providers.

* Review and abstract coding to ensure accurate and compliant billing.

* Key approximately 5,000 charges per month, linking correct diagnosis codes to procedures and applying modifiers when necessary.

* Verify and correct patient registration to ensure clean claim submissions.

* Communicate with providers to resolve documentation issues and improve billing accuracy.

* Focus on submitting clean claims the first time to maximize efficiency and reduce denials.

* Support billing across multiple specialties including Pediatrics, Family Medicine, and Internal Medicine.

*Insurance Follow-Up & Revenue Support:*

* Conduct thorough insurance follow-up on all submitted claims.

* Report carrier-related issues and collaborate with staff for timely resolution.

* Train and support front desk staff to enhance claim accuracy and reimbursement.

* Answer incoming calls and provide support to internal departments and external inquiries.

* Assist in onboarding and training new hires on clean claim processes.

* Understand and navigate various payer systems including Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, and commercial insurances.

*Job Qualifications:*

* Minimum 1 year of medical billing or charge entry experience preferred.

* Strong understanding of CPT, ICD-10, and modifiers.

* Familiarity with Medicaid, Medicare Advantage Plans, and Commercial insurance is essential.

* Detail-oriented with strong time management and problem-solving skills.

* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a high-volume setting.

* Excellent communication skills.

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
