This role involves providing accurate and effective communication support to students and staff utilizing American Sign Language (ASL). Key Responsibilities: Interpret spoken language into American Sign Language during classroom instruction, meetings, and school events. Facilitate communication between students who are deaf or hard of hearing and their peers, teachers, and other staff members. Assist in various school-related activities requiring sign language interpretation. Travel between school sites as needed to support multiple locations. Qualifications: Proficiency in American Sign Language with the ability to interpret in educational settings. Previous experience as a sign language interpreter, preferably within a school or similar environment. Strong understanding of deaf culture and communication needs.
