Pharmacy Tech (Certified & Non-Certified) or Pharmacy Aide - Great Plains Pharmacy - Lawton, OK 73505 PHARMACY AIDE
DEFINITION:
Under the supervision of the Pharmacy Technician and Automation Supervisor, provides support assistance to Pharmacists in the operation of the department by delivering medications to nursing units, answering restocking automated medication system, and providing for the general upkeep of the medication storage areas to assure that care is provided to all patients including adult, adolescent, pediatric, neonatal, and geriatric patients.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or GED.
Prior hospital experience.

DEFINITION:
Under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, provides technical support for the provision of pharmaceutical services to all age groups including adult, adolescent, pediatric and neonatal patients.

REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS (IF APPLICABLE):
Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy's Technician Permit required within 90 days.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Prior hospital experience
High school diploma or equivalency
Technical training or equivalent experience in a pharmacy.

PHARMACY TECHNICIAN (CERTIFIED)

DEFINITION:
Under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, provides technical support for the provision of pharmaceutical services to all age groups including adult, adolescent, pediatric and neonatal.

REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS (IF APPLICABLE):
Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy Technician Permit, or for newly permitted technicians, OSBP Technician Permit must be obtained within 90 days.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
National PTCB Certification at the time of hire, or an Associates Degree for an accredited University/Community College. Technical training or equivalent experience in a pharmacy.
