In this key position, you will be responsible for overseeing the inpatient mental health technician staff, managing staff scheduling, reviewing and approving leave requests, and handling timesheets. Additionally, you will play a vital role in the education of new mental health technicians, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards in the residential/inpatient level of care. Collaboration with department supervisors on staff development, performance enhancement, clinical outcome measurement/evaluation, and utilization management is a crucial aspect of this role.Key Responsibilities:* Oversight of inpatient mental health technician staff* Staff scheduling and leave request approval* Timesheet management* Education of new mental health technicians* Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and standards* Participate in the creation and implementation of facility policies and procedures* Collaborate with department supervisors on staff development strategies* Other nursing related duties, as neededSchedule: This position offers a flexible schedule, ideally supporting the facility during the evening and overnight shift while working closely with the Director of Nursing to provide around-the-clock support for all mental health technicians.Job Type/Salary:* Annual Salary: $62,500.00 plus shift differentials and benefits allowance!* FLSA Status: NonexemptMinimum Qualifications and Experience:* Possession of a valid permanent Oklahoma license as a licensed practical nurse as approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing AND three years of practical nursing experience; OR* Licensed Practical Nurse License recognized by the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) AND three years of practical nursing experience.Special Requirements:* Willingness to travel for job-related purposes* Must maintain a valid driver's licenseBenefits: Joining ODMHSAS comes with great benefits package, including:* Generous state-paid benefit allowance for insurance premiums* Variety of health insurance plans with no pre-existing condition exclusions* Flexible spending accounts for health care or dependent care* Employee assistance programs and health/fitness programs* 11 paid holidays, 15 days of vacation, and 15 days of sick leave in the first year* Retirement Savings Plan with a generous match* Longevity Bonus for years of service* Student Loan repayment options* Training opportunities for CEU requirementsAbout us: Jim Taliaferro Community Mental Health Center in Lawton, OK is a community-based center with a primary focus on mental health and substance abuse treatment. The inpatient and outpatient services they provide include special groups and programs for adolescents, persons with co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders, seniors and older adults, women, men, and criminal justice groups.Drug and Alcohol Pre-employment and Pre-Placement Testing: Upon a conditional offer of employment, applicants for safety sensitive positions shall be required to submit to urinalysis to test for drugs.
