RN Med Surg for a local contract nursing job in Lawton, Oklahoma.
Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline:
RN - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days
- Employment Type: Local Contract We are seeking a dependable and
skilled Medical-Surgical RN for a day shift travel contract in
Lawton, OK. This role is ideal for nurses with recent med/surg
experience who are committed to delivering high-quality,
patient-centered care in a dynamic hospital environment. Candidates
must be licensed in Oklahoma and able to adapt quickly in a
team-focused unit. Key Responsibilities: Deliver direct and
individualized nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients
Monitor and assess patient conditions, administer medications and
treatments Document care and patient responses accurately and
promptly Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team
to coordinate care plans Educate patients and families on
diagnoses, procedures, and recovery Adhere to infection control
standards and hospital protocols Manage patient loads effectively,
prioritizing safety and clinical outcomes Required Qualifications:
Active RN license in Oklahoma Current BLS certification (American
Heart Association) NIH Stroke Scale certification Minimum of 6
months of recent med/surg experience Additional Notes: Candidates
without active certifications may still be considered if willing to
obtain them before the start date Location: Lawton, OK Shift: Days
