6 months of telemetry or cardiac experience - Flexibility to float
to Medical/Surgical or Emergency Room Description: This is a 33-bed
cardiovascular step-down unit. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4.
The role involves caring for patients with STEMI/NSTEMI, chest pain
rule-out, congestive heart failure, and noninvasive ventilation.
Patients recovering from cardiothoracic surgery after ICU stay will
also be cared for. Experience with antiarrhythmic IV medications is
necessary. Nurses will also manage peripheral vascular compromise
among patients. Holiday coverage is required.
