Job Description:
Job Description 13-week assignment for an open ICU. The unit is
a medical ICU, Surgical ICU, CVICU and neuro ICU. In the event the
helicopter cannot fly, we will care for pediatric patients in the
unit. The unit is consists of two sections containing a 14-bed unit
and a 12-bed unit. Patient’s placement is determined based on bed
availability not by reason for admittance. Staffing ratio in ICU is
1:2 with the occasional 1:3 for ICU patients. Low census may result
in floating to CVCU, which is a 1:4 staffing, or to ED to care for
hold patients with the same patient ratios.
