Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 01/29/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Opportunity – Stepdown RN – Oklahoma Start Date: January 29, 2026 Location: Lawton, Oklahoma Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule; flexible scheduling required (no block scheduling) Highlights: - Stepdown unit specializing in cardiac care including STEMI/NSTEMI, chest pain rule-out, CHF, and post-cardiothoracic surgery patients - Diverse case mix includes noninvasive ventilation, antiarrhythmic IV medications, and peripheral vascular compromise management - Float opportunities to Med/Surg or ER to support CVCU/Med Surg overflow - No on-call requirements - Flexible scheduling with consistent weekend rotation Requirements: - Active Oklahoma RN license - Minimum 6 months of recent Stepdown nursing experience required - ACLS and NIHSS certifications (facility will review applications from candidates working toward certifications) - Ability to float to Med/Surg or ER as needed - Flexibility with scheduling; block scheduling not available Why It's a Great Opportunity: This position offers the chance to work with a critically important patient population in a dynamic stepdown environment where your cardiac expertise will make a direct impact on patient outcomes.
