Job Description ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Surgical Oncology for a travel nursing job in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Surgical Oncology - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: /n RN - Med Surg /n/n Job Details: /n • Provide nursing care to patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex /n• Work in both stepdown and medical/surgical units (both required) /n• Care for oncology and chemotherapy patients with required experience /n• ONS/ONCC certification required (may accept fundamentals certification) /n• Assume responsibility for assigned group of patients /n• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and medical treatments /n• Assist physicians in examinations and diagnostic procedures /n• Monitor physiological data and intervene when necessary /n• Administer medications as prescribed /n• Initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products /n• Interact with patients and families regarding care plans and discharge planning /n• Delegate tasks to support staff /n• 1 year of nursing experience required /n• Associate's Degree in Nursing from accredited program required /n• Current Oklahoma RN License or multistate compact RN License required /n• Required certifications: Basic Life Support (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) /n• Good verbal and written communication skills required /n• Computer skills necessary /n/n Facility: /n This major university medical center serves as a premier healthcare institution providing comprehensive medical services and advanced patient care.
