Cardiovascular Technologist Location: Oklahoma City, OK Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $3,292 per week Shift Information: Rotating - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Cardiovascular Technologist Profession: Clinical Technicians Specialty: Cardiovascular Technology Duration: 13 Months Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 40.00 Experience: Minimum of Level 1 Experience; Level 2 may be considered License: Required Licensure for ARRT Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography (CV) to be obtained within 12 months of hire date or successful completion of Paramedic training program within 12 months of hire date. Certifications: AHA BLS Must-Have: Associate's degree or higher required. Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited educational program with an emphasis in a primary cardiovascular specialty or graduate of a JRCERT accredited educational program with an emphasis in radiologic technology or completion of a Paramedic training program. Description: Under immediate to general supervision and direction of a mentor/preceptor, this entry-level position works to achieve the initial competencies required to deliver specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology services to adult and/or pediatric patient populations. The purpose is to aid medical staff in the diagnosis, care, treatment, and surveillance of simple to complex conditions, defects, and/or diseases. Utilizing entry-level knowledge, abilities, skills, and available resources, the position provides safe, high-quality, efficient, and cost-effective patient-centric care and support services under routine or emergent conditions. Care settings include acute inpatient facilities, outpatient physician practices, diagnostic/urgent care centers, and remote statewide outreach clinics. Prepares patients for procedures and correlates clinical history with procedures ordered by physicians. Communicates and collaborates with patients, families, and other members of the multidisciplinary care team to identify and implement actions necessary to achieve clinical outcomes, operational goals, and service expectations. Utilizes highly specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic equipment and techniques to perform a diverse range of diagnostic, interventional, and/or surgical procedures in accordance with established scope of practice guidelines. Conducts post-procedure review with or without preceptor to confirm that all required elements are completed and documented, ensuring technical quality is consistent with established protocols and accreditation standards. Transfers images and data to appropriate archival systems, enters technical data/findings, and prepares study for reporting by a physician. Performs operator-level quality control checks, cleaning, high-level disinfecting, and other user maintenance per manufacturer instructions for use and other regulatory guidelines. Participates in continuing education, professional development, and research activities to maintain competencies and promote continuous improvements in care and treatments. Performs other duties as assigned. On-call is required, approximately eight shifts per month, with a response time of within 30 minutes of notification. Skills needed include the ability to work as part of a team, maintain accurate records, draw conclusions, and exercise discretion in handling confidential information. Must possess a high level of initiative, effort, and commitment towards completing assignments efficiently with attention to detail. Core knowledge and understanding of normal and abnormal anatomy and physiology; cardiovascular and/or radiologic technologies and terminology are essential. Ability to communicate with staff, patients, and families in a professional and courteous manner.
