Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend - Patient Ratio: 1:2–3 -
Unit: Emergency Department (ED), 19 beds - Orientation: 16 hours
Qualifications & Requirements - Minimum 2 years of recent ER
nursing experience — Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)
experience required - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
(Oklahoma or compact state) — pending licenses not accepted -
Travel nursing experience required — first-time travelers not
accepted - Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS, PALS,
ISTAT, ENPC - Experience in a Level II Trauma Center and Stroke
Certified Facility preferred - Meditech charting experience
preferred - COVID-19 and flu vaccines required (medical/religious
exemptions considered) Key Responsibilities — Emergency Department
RN / ER RN Duties - Provide high-quality emergency care across the
lifespan: neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
- Perform triage, rapid assessment, and treatment for a wide range
of ER complaints including trauma, stroke, psychiatric evaluations,
abdominal emergencies, pediatric fevers, ortho injuries, and
respiratory distress - Manage and monitor central lines, arterial
lines, and ventilated patients - Interpret and manage dysrhythmias,
administer blood products, IV sedation, and procedural sedation -
Utilize isolation precautions and PPE; adhere to infection control
protocols - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including
respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, and social services -
Float within scope to meet facility needs and support unit staffing
as required - Participate in weekend coverage every other weekend
