working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Oklahoma
City, Oklahoma, 73104! Job Title: PCU RN Profession: Registered
Nurse Specialty: Medicine Specialty Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days
Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year in
Medical-Surgical and Step Down experience. Travel experience and
Level 1 facility experience preferred. ICU experience also
preferred. License: Current RN License issued by the appropriate
nursing board or a current multistate compact RN License.
Certifications: Current Basic Life Support issued by an authorized
provider. Must-Have: Knowledge of professional nursing theory,
practices, techniques, and procedures. Ability to maintain good
working relationships with colleagues. Good verbal and written
communication skills. Ability to respond effectively to cultural
and language needs of patients and visitors. Some computer skills.
Description: Under general supervision, provides nursing care in a
hospital to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from
simple to complex. Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of
patients. Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and
prescribed medical treatments. Notes all changes in physician
orders on assigned patients. Assists physician in the examination
of patients and in performing minor diagnostic procedures and
treatment. Obtains and monitors physiological data of patients.
Observes the physiological manifestations of patients and
intervenes when necessary. Administers medication as prescribed.
Initiates, regulates, and monitors intravenous infusions and blood
products. Delivers patient care competently. Interacts with family
and patients in sharing care plans during hospitalization and at
discharge. Informs patients and families of hospital procedures.
Makes referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate
personnel. Delegates tasks to support staff. Performs other duties
