Job Description ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care for a travel nursing job in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: /n RN - PICU /n/n Job Details: /n • Provide nursing care in pediatric intensive care unit setting under general supervision /n• Must have 1 year of nursing experience and level I trauma experience /n• ICU experience required /n• Assume responsibility for assigned group of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex /n• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments /n• Assist physicians in patient examination and performing minor diagnostic procedures /n• Obtain and monitor physiological data, observe patient manifestations and intervene when necessary /n• Administer medications as prescribed and manage intravenous infusions and blood products /n• Interact with families and patients regarding care plans during hospitalization and discharge /n• Make referrals regarding patient care needs and delegate tasks to support staff /n• Required certifications: Current Oklahoma RN License or multistate compact license, BLS (AHA), PALS (AHA) /n• Associate's Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor's preferred /n• Must demonstrate strong communication skills and ability to respond to cultural and language needs /n• Computer skills required /n/n Facility: /n This pediatric medical center specializes in comprehensive healthcare services for children, featuring advanced pediatric intensive care capabilities.
