Summary

Red Collar Pet Foods is looking for an Business Process Expert (BPE) to join our exciting new pet food business at our Clinton, OK manufacturing plant. Who is Red Collar? Purpose of Role

The Business Process Expert is responsible for ensuring that our ERP and Warehouse Management Tools are utilized as per the aligned Business Processes and they are providing an accurate MRP signal that the Business can plan/execute against. This role requires a high-level skill of troubleshooting, priority setting, problem solving, inventory management, inbound management, training and education of others and a strong understanding of JDE, RFSmart and BI.

Principal Accountabilities

• Ensure that all inputs for MRP are understood and adhered to by the associates at the site. This includes, but is not limited to:
  • Cycle counting of raws, packs and Finished Goods as per the cycle count policy
  • Work Orders are managed daily by the Site Scheduler
  • Production Reporting is done at the end of each shift
  • Inbound receipts are entered before MRP generates
  • BOMs accurately reflect the way the product is manufactured
  • Identify material variance issues through the cycle counting process and drive to understand root cause and implement corrective actions
  • Understand the reporting aspects of BI and validate accuracy. Escalate when inaccuracies are identified
  • Will be the site SPOC for any issues related to inventory, MRP, inbound, production reporting, outbound and Customer Service
  • Be the first contact for JDE/RFSmart issues. Escalate to next step if unable to rectify
  • Provide training as new associates are on-boarded
  • Provide refresher training as required
  • Participate in site audits to determine associate's knowledge/skill level with JDE & RFSmart
  • Test changes that are made to JDE/RFSmart as requested
  • Identify potential enhancements to JDE/RFSmart
  • JDE to Batching server reconciliation or audit
  • Process owner for JDE maintenance and work order management
  • Purchase order management completion/audit
  • Coordinate Inbound activities for the site
  • Partner with Logistics and Operations to ensure Railcars are being managed in a timely fashion to reduce rail demurrage costs
  • Identify where cost savings opportunities exist
  • Request JDE/RFSmart security for associates at your site
  • Actively follow-up on site's issues list and seek for solutions
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

    • Must be capable of working at elevated heights and or confined space
    • Wearing proper personal protective equipment ( bump cap, ear plugs, safety shoes, safety glasses and uniform)
    • Bending, stooping, twist, turn, standing for extended time periods, reaching, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 55 lbs.
    • Must be able to adapt to temperature and environmental extremes such as hot to cold, dust dirt and chemicals
    • Knowledge of local, federal, and industry regulations with regards to: Food Safety (GMP, HACCP), Food Quality (Product and Process)
      
      Qualifications
      
      Minimum Qualifications:
      
      • BS/BA degree in Business, Logistics or other relevant field of study with 1-2 years of relevant experience or
      • AA/AS degree in Business, Logistics or other relevant field of study with 3-5 years of relevant experience ,
      • Prior experience in A/P role preferred
        Preferred Qualifications:
        
        • Experience with JD Edwards and/or RFSmart systems a plus
        • Pet food, CPG or food manufacturing experience a plus
