Job Description:

Perfusionist - CVTS - Lawton, OK 73505 DEFINITION:
Assembles and operates heart lung machine and autotransfusion device (cell saver) during all cardiovascular perfusion cases. Monitors and safely maintains patients' hemodynamic and physiologic parameters. Operate intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) when needed. Operate and maintain point of care (POC) lab equipment, performing all QC and proficiency testing as required. Stock and maintain all perfusion-related supplies and equipment. Assist in maintaining the Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS) Cardiac Database. Shares call schedule with other staff perfusionist.

EDUCATION:
Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Cardiovascular Perfusion.
American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion Certified.

REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS (IF APPLICABLE):
Licensure by the Oklahoma State Medical Licensure Board as Perfusionist.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Eligible for licensure by the Oklahoma State Board of Perfusion.
