Foods is looking for a Logistics Manager to join our exciting pet
food business at one of our manufacturing plants. Who is Red

primary responsibility of this role is to develop and lead
strategic logistics initiatives which deliver higher service
levels, greater logistics flexibility and capacity, and produce
operational efficiencies. The Logistics Manager is responsible for
vendor relationships, inbound logistics, on-site/regional finished
goods inventory management, customer order management, site
warehouse management, and finished goods shipments to warehouses.
Build a strong team whose associates cross departmental lines; yet
see as their first priority to deliver supply chain excellence to
the site while maximizing Customer Service. To create an
infrastructure and culture of "continuous improvement" and
"lean".Principal Accountabilities Develop and implement Supply
Chain Strategies in line with the company goals Identify and
eliminate "supply chain" constraints to ensure maximum service
levels are obtained Coach and develop leaders and team members to
successful results, including identifying training and development
needs Lead the execution of cultural changes and activities needed
to support the customer supply chain process Maintain contingency
plans for time sensitive operations (unscheduled absentees,
customer issues, system malfunctions, inventory exceptions,
transport equipment issues) Liaison with the Customer Supply Chain
Team and works to maximize customer service metrics within the

Logistics Management - Design the business unit's total execution
plan for logistics operations including warehousing requirements,
transportation fees, and service level requirements Commercial

commercial decisions to improve the overall business shape Customer
Focus - Have in-depth knowledge of key customers and their needs
Must be capable of working at elevated heights and or confined
space Wearing proper personal protective equipment (hair net, bump
cap, ear plugs, safety shoes, and uniform) Bending, stooping,
twist, turn, standing for extended time periods, reaching, climbing
stairs, and lifting up to 55 lbs. Must be able to adapt to
temperature and environmental extremes such as hot to cold, dust
dirt and chemicals Knowledge of local, federal, and industry
regulations with regards to:Food Safety (GMP, HACCP), Food Quality
(Product and Process) Q&FS testing practices and procedures,
QMP polices and SPC Forklift assignments require OSHA certification
and getting on and off frequently Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or relevant field 2+
years' experience in Supply Chain Management 3+ years managing
people Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
and business management software, specifically JD Edwards Ability
to drive positive change in both processes, systems, and culture
Strong internal and external customer focus with great follow-up
Proven leadership skills, coaching and developing leaders, and
associates Knowledge of GMP's Ability to travel 5% of the time
Willing to work occasional weekends Understanding of major
functions within the plant and the ability to work directly with
all levels and functions Successful completion of a drug and
background screen Preferred Quali?cations: Advanced Degree
Demonstrated experience working in Quality Demonstrated experience
working in Safety Thorough technical knowledge of process,
